Arnie Gallegos – Owner & Lead Instructor

With over 40 years of experience with firearms and more than 20 years in training and instruction, Arnie is a certified NRA Instructor, licensed New Mexico Concealed Carry Instructor, and commissioned Law Enforcement Officer with Jemez Springs Police Department. Arnie holds a Master’s in Organizational Management and has a diverse background in security, education, and IT. He leads ABQ GUNS with a commitment to exceptional customer service, education, and safety.

Arnie is a commissioned Law Enforcement Officer with the Jemez Springs Police Department, serving for over ten years. He is a certified NRA Instructor and a licensed New Mexico Concealed Carry Instructor, accredited by the New Mexico Department of Public Safety for over a decade.

His qualifications include:

Master’s in Organizational Management (MAOM)
Certified NRA Pistol Instructor
Certified NRA Rifle Instructor
NRA Range Safety Officer
Over 10 years of personal protection and property security experience
Former Security Coordinator for both special events and property protection
Former Personal and Property Security Officer

Arnie is known for his ability to simplify complex concepts, making training accessible and effective for everyone—from first-time shooters to seasoned professionals. Above all, he’s committed to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring every individual who walks through ABQ GUNS leaves informed, empowered, and confident.

Sean Baros – Business Manager & NFA Specialist

With 18 years in the security industry, Sean oversees business operations and all NFA-related sales. As a Silencer Shop Specialist and NFA Compliance Officer, he ensures seamless suppressor and NFA item transactions. Known for his reliability and outstanding customer service, Sean is a key part of the ABQ GUNS experience.

Kelly Gallegos – Accounting & Office Manager

Kelly serves as Associate Owner and manages all back-office operations, including purchasing and compliance. She holds a Master’s degree and has 6 years of experience in retail management and accounting. As our NICS Compliance Officer, Kelly ensures all transactions meet federal requirements while keeping operations smooth behind the scenes.

Brad Greggerson – Sales & Support (Weekdays)

Brad brings over 15 years of experience in the firearms industry. His product knowledge and dedication to customer satsfaction make him an integral part of our weekly sales team.

Kasey Yates – Sales & Support (Weekdays)

With 15 years in the firearms industry, Kasey provides expert-level sales support during the week. His approachable style and deep product understanding help customers find exactly what they need.

Tyler Hollon – Weekend Sales Manager

Tyler brings fresh energy and customer focus to our weekends. With 2 years in the industry, he’s quickly established himself as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor on the sales floor.

Dave Clark – Safety Specialist & Training Lead

Dave has over 20 years of experience in safety counseling. A former Firefighter, Arson Investigator, and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Deputy, Dave now leads employee training and customer service at ABQ GUNS. His insight into safety protocols and his dedication to customer education provide a solid foundation for our team.

Derren Owen – Sales & Information Manager

Derren oversees sales operations at firearm shows and supports daily sales in-store. As a Purchasing Agent, he ensures we’re always stocked with high-quality inventory. His communication skills and product knowledge are invaluable assets to the team.

Derren Owen Jr. – Firearms Sales & Service

A passionate and experienced shooter, Derren Jr. brings 12 years of experience in both firearms sales and service. He’s always ready to assist and enjoys training with new shooters, helping them grow their confidence and skills.

Sherri Owen – NICS Compliance & Purchasing

Sherri manages NICS compliance at firearm shows and supports purchasing operations. Her attention to detail and regulatory knowledge help ensure every transaction is done right.
